The Blog module is part of the Core – optional modules of Drupal but it is by default, disabled. You must first check Blog then click the Save configuration button to enable it in your site.

  3. Now, just like how we add the About Me page, click Create content -> Blog entry.

Set the Title to Hello Blogging!. For the Menu Settings, you can fill it up if you want to have a menu link to this blog post. But for this exercise, let us create a single menu link for all our blog posts.

  5. Type anything at the Body of your blog
  6. Make sure that Comment settings is set to Read/Write and the Published and Promote to front page are checked in the Publishing options before clicking the Save button.
  7. After you have saved your first blog post, click the My Drupal Site logo then you will see your recent blog and your About Me page at the front page of your site.
